Startuje międzynarodowy konkurs „Rok 1918 – nowy ład w Europie Środkowo-Wschodniej”

W roku bieżącym przypada 100. rocznica odzyskania niepodległości przez Polskę i inne państwa Europy. Muzeum Narodowe Ziemi Przemyskiej w Przemyślu przygotowuje z tej okazji szereg imprez: wystaw i spotkań.
Ponieważ wydarzenia 1918 roku dotyczą nie tylko Polski, dlatego też w celu rozbudzenia wśród młodych ludzi świadomości problemów, jakie pojawiły się po zakończeniu I wojny światowej przed państwami Europy środkowej i wschodniej, dylematów, przed którymi stanęły narody, Muzeum ogłasza konkurs międzynarodowy pod nazwą: Rok 1918 – nowy ład w Europie Środkowo-Wschodniej.
Współorganizatorami Konkursu są: IPN Oddział Rzeszów i Państwowa Akademia Nauk Stosowanych w Przemyślu.
Honorowy patronat objęli: Marszałek Sejmu RP Marek Kuchciński, Marszałek Województwa Podkarpackiego Władysław Ortyl oraz Prezydent Miasta Przemyśla Robert Choma.
Analiza tematu ma na celu skłonić młode pokolenie do rozważań nad wartościami i motywami, jakie stały za decyzjami ówczesnych elit. Poznanie politycznego klimatu tamtych czasów pozwoli zrozumieć opinie, poziom wiedzy, poglądy.
Konkurs organizowany jest w dwóch kategoriach: plastycznej i historyczno-literackiej. Zgodnie z opracowanym regulaminem prace oceniane będą w dwóch kategoriach wiekowych: kategoria dzieci od 7- 15 lat i kategoria młodzieży ponadgimnazjalnej i studentów.
W konkursie przewidziane są nagrody w każdej kategorii wiekowej. Nagrodzone prace zamieścimy w specjalnym wydawnictwie. Zachęcamy do rozpropagowania konkursu i zachęcenia do udziału w nim, tym samym do podzielenia się wiedzą i przemyśleniami na temat wydarzeń roku 1918.

Dear Madams, Dear Sirs,
This year is the time of observing of the 100th anniversary of Poland’s and other European states’ re-gaining their independence. On that occasion The National Museum of the Przemyśl Land is about to prepare various events like exhibitions and encounters.
As the 1918 events relate not only to Poland we, with the intention to awake young people to consciousness of the problems that had appeared ahead of the states of the Central and East Europe, and dilemmas the nations faced with then. The National Museum of the Przemyśl Land herewith announces an international contest named 1918 – the new order in the Central and Eastern Europe. Co-organizers of the Competition are: IPN Rzeszów Branch and the State Higher East-European School in Przemyśl.
Honorary patronage was taken by: Marshal of the Polish Sejm Marek Kuchciński, Marshal of the Podkarpackie Voivodeship Władysław Ortyl and President of the City of Przemyśl Robert Choma.
The aim of the analysis of the proposed subject is to make young generation study values and motivations that lied at the background of the decisions of the pre-war elites. Knowing the political climate of those times will allow us to understand opinions, level of the then knowledge and views.
The contest has been organized within the framework of two categories, and namely plastic arts category and historico-literary category. Due to the contest rules the submitted works shall be evaluated in two age category: children at the age 7-15, and high school youth and academic students. Awards are to be given out in both two age categories. The awarded works will be published in our special contest book. So we encourage to propagate the contest and to participate in it; this way, we think, the participants will be able to share with everybody their knowledge and reflections on the 1918 events.
